When Worlds Collide
Ab und zu überschneiden sich meine beiden Blog-Welten, in dem Fall das des Englischlehrers und des ZidZ-Fans:
Photograph-Designer David Occhino hat einen Unterrichtsraum mit „Zurück in die Zukunft“-Thematik für eine amerikanische Grundschule kreiert. Das wäre ja mal was für meinen Englischunterricht – aber wahrscheinlich würde ich nur noch voller Bewunderung die Wände anstarren und mich nicht mehr auf meinen Job konzentrieren können…

Yes, back in 1991-92 I was an elementary school teacher in California and I taught sixth grade at Standiford Elementary School. I always chose a theme for my classroom and that year I chose a Universal Studios motif. With permission from the school principal, I designed the interior of the classroom with many elements from the Back to the Future movies. The highlight of the year, however, was the creation of Back to the Future Part IV, a movie completed with the cooperation of the Universal Studios legal department and written by and starring my students. It was the most rewarding project I’ve ever led. I’d be glad to share more if there is interest.
